SARA — Smart Automated Reporting Assistant
SARA is our proprietary matter tracking and client reporting system, purpose-built for corporate debt recovery portfolios. Every instruction placed with the firm is tracked and reported automatically at each litigation milestone.
Available now
From the moment an instruction is received, SARA tracks every litigation event and updates the matter status at each stage of the South African collections pipeline. You get structured, current reporting across your entire debtor portfolio — without requesting it.
The litigation pipeline
Stage 1 — Instruction received. Matter logged, client reference captured, FICA and POPIA compliance checks initiated.
Stage 2 — Letter of demand / Section 129 notice. Statutory demand issued; SARA records dispatch date and the prescribed response deadline.
Stage 3 — Summons & particulars of claim. Summons drafted and issued; case number captured and updated.
Stage 4 — Summons at sheriff / served. Sheriff dispatch confirmed; service date and return of service recorded.
Stage 5 — Default judgment. Once the 10-day notice-to-defend window lapses without response, SARA triggers judgment drafting, court lodgement and judgment date capture.
Stage 6 — Writ of execution. Judgment obtained; writ drafted and executed. Matter status updated to Closed, Settlement Reached, or On Hold as applicable.
Launching August 2026
In August 2026 SARA expands into a full browser-based dashboard, accessible via secure login. Corporate clients will have live visibility across three financial data sets per matter, updated automatically as each transaction occurs on a file.
Live pipeline stage plus On Hold, Settlement Reached and Closed flags across the full debtor portfolio.
Fees billed by the firm per matter alongside fees recovered from the debtor — real-time net cost, without a separate spreadsheet.
Rand value paid by the debtor into trust per matter, updated in real time. Live reconciliation data for provisioning and board reporting.
Corporate clients onboarding now will have their full matter portfolio live on the dashboard at launch.
Place your portfolio with the firm now and it goes live on the dashboard on day one.
